A horizontal scrolling shooter arcade game ported for the NES. Gradius will have you piloting the Vic Viper against hordes and hordes of enemies in this fast paced game.

While not being able to compare with Shooters for the TurboGrafx16 or SNES, it’s one of the best ones graphically that I have played for the NES. Probably not as pretty as it’s arcade counterpart, this game still looks good on the NES hardware. I am absolutely in love with the music, especially the tune that plays at the start, and the sound effects are something out there too. Possibly the only flaw for such a thing that is so nice on the ears is sometimes that the NES has to omit a few sound effects to keep the game running smooth. Who can forget gameplay, obviously not Konami, because they made this game, which features the Weapon system, when you pick up energy capsules, the weapon system moves another notch on the upgrade cycle. The further along it gets, the better upgrade you’ll recieve when you redeem, from easily gotten Speed Up, to the very powerfull Option. It’s pretty difficult, but hey, you could always use the code if it becomes too difficult.
