15 Wii Games Being Developed for the Wii

EA chairman and CEO Larry Probst released an official statement after reporting sales numbers for the third quarter at $1.281 billion (almost identical to last year’s numbers at the same quarter) specifically on the company’s next-generation efforts.

“We are pleased with the performance of our products on next-generation consoles. In the year ahead, we plan to build on our leadership position on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and to significantly increase our support for the Nintendo platforms.”

As of right now, the company reported to have 15 games being developed for the Wii to help their supporting relationship with Nintendo. The launch antecedant to this year, EA has ramped up games like Madden 2007 and Need for Speed: Carbon which was given positive imput by most reviewers.

So far this year, we’ve seen appearences of games such as SSX Blur, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, Medal of Honor: Vanguard and Tiger Woods 07. And these games are in the Q1-Q2 2007 releases alone! And to put more butter on the toast, EA has announced 15 games for the Wii being developed at this point.
