New Wii Colours?

Apparently Nintendo are planning to release red and black Wii consoles in the near future. That’s according to an anonymous Nintendo rep who recently spoke to gaming site GameDrift anyway.

“In a rather shocking revelation this weekend, an anonymous Nintendo rep revealed to GameDrift that a plan is running through the pipeline to colorize the, as of now, rather bland coloration of its hit console, Wii. The rep did not reveal detailed specifics, however did remark that a red and black console have been confirmed.”

I find this hard to believe, concidering Nintendo are stuggling to meet the demand for the current Wii console. New colours of Wii consoles have always been on the cards since the very early shots of the Wii being in black, blue, red, green and silver. Also, looking at what they did with the DS lite it really would not be a big suprise if they did drop a black Wii console sometime this year, but I find it high unlikely.
