It seems that Nintendo are replacing the replacement straps for the Wii-remote. This will be the third version of the Wii-remote strap, which is supposed to be worn on the players wrist to help prevent the controller slipping out of the players hand and into their TV, or family and friends.

The original replacement was offered by Nintendo after numerous accidents were reported where the original strap broke during play, causing bad results and something serious physical or financial injuries (especially if you managed to break you nice shiny HDTV!).

Now it looks as if Nintendo are shipping a third version of the strap, which looks to be somewhat cheaper then the first two versions, due to the lack of Nintendo branding on both the slide and the end of the strap.

I’m still happily using my original strap on my Wii-remotes, although one of them is the second version as it was shipped with the Wii-remote in my copy of Wii Play.
