Review
I remember I getting this game for my birthday, and I would spend hours getting Simon Belmont across the many levels, straight into the heart of Dracula’s Castle, getting killed, forgetting the password and not playing it for a long time. Castlevania IV is a bridge between the older Castlevania and the new, and featured controls that formed the foundation of future Castlevania gameplay.
However, after playing a lot more of the recent than the old ones, it will take a little getting used to, but after that, it should be fine. As I’ve stated before, controls are excellent. Graphics were impressive at the time. The sound clearly matched the graphics as well. For only 800 points, I thing you will be getting the longer end of the stick on this one.
