Wii sells out in Japan

Although maybe pointing out the obvious, the Wii sold out all over Japan after it’s recent launch there.

According to Nihon Keizai Shimbun, a Japanese newspaper, an estimated 400,000 Wii consoles were shipped and sold there, bring the total Wii consoles sold up to 1 million, if you take into account the 600,000 sold during the console’s launch in the USA.

Although the Japanese sales figure has not been confirmed, this would put Nintendo at just 3 million consoles to go to meet their target of 4 million consoles by the year’s end.
