Reggie Fils-Amie, the President of Nintendo of America, recently appeared in an episode of GameHead on Spike TV, an American cable network channel.

Amongst all of his normal PR hyping, ass-kicking and name-taking, he let slip that he expects online multiplayer games to be announced in the first quarter, and shipped in the second quarter in the US, which we can only hope means Europe too, give or take a few weeks/months.

This is good news in a way as it means we haven’t got that long to wait to be able to kick people’s asses from around the world, but given that the Wii will have been out for about 5 months by then, maybe it is a little too long to wait ?
